How we score foreign casinos: five checks, one lamp per check

Method · sources · who writes here

The score out of 5 on this site measures one thing: how many of the rules that protect your money you can check in writing before you deposit. Here are the rules behind the score, where the facts come from, what we leave out, and who writes.

A score is worth something only if you can see how it was made. The score on our board of foreign casinos is narrow on purpose. It does not say where you will have the most fun, and not where you will win. It says how many of the rules about money are written somewhere you can read them.

The five checks, and how they count

Check1 point½ point0
Licence validActive (Curaçao) or valid with more than 90 days left (Anjouan)Valid with under 90 days leftAbsent, or not valid
Domain on the certificateThe certificate names the domain you play on–It names another domain
Verification in writingA clause or passage saying when or how they ask for documents–Not apparent from what we read
Withdrawal cap in writingA maximum per day, week or month is stated–Not apparent
Denmark outside the excluded countriesFull list read, and Denmark is not on it–No list, a list cut short, or Denmark on it

The score is the sum, with no adjustments by hand. The result as at 19.09.2026:

Where the facts come from

Licence registers. On 18 September 2026 we looked every domain up at cert.cga.cw (Curaçao) and in the public Anjouan licence register, from a server in the Netherlands. We copied the number, the company, the date of issue, the status and, for Anjouan, the expiry date.

The public Anjouan register filtered on Rakebit, showing a valid licence
The Anjouan register prints an expiry date. Rakebit: Nile King Media Ltd, ALSI-202602030-FI2, valid until 17.02.2027.

The casinos' terms. Read on the casinos' own pages. We noted the clause and the exact wording on verification, the withdrawal cap and excluded countries.

What we do not use. Archived copies of old terms, other sites' reviews, tables of «payout time» with no source, and whatever the chat says. If a page could not be fetched live, the check stays unlit, even where an old copy exists.

Curaçao Gaming Authority certificate for cloudbet.com showing status Active
A valid certificate carries five facts: the domain, the company (here Halcyon Super Holdings B.V.), the company number, licence number OGL/2024/328/0599 and the status Active.

Why an unlit lamp is not an accusation

Seven casinos sit on two lamps because their terms could not be fetched from our server, or do not mention the rules: some block connections from data centres, others show their legal pages only in a full browser. That says nothing bad about them. It says we could not check what a player ought to be able to check, and that is what the score measures. When we can read the terms, the board is updated. Check what we could not: check a casino licence and withdrawals and the trial withdrawal.

What we do not measure

  • Payout time. We have played for our own money only at Vave: two withdrawals are not a statistic.
  • Games, bonuses and support. They change every week and say nothing about whether you get your money.
  • The chance of winning. The house edge does not depend on whether a casino can be trusted.
  • Casinos that are not on the board. We do not score casinos we have not checked, good or bad.

Vave, outside the score

Vave stands first on the board and without a score, because we know more about Vave than about the others: it is the only casino where we played for our own money, and the score measures only what is written down. We ran the five checks on Vave all the same, in the review, with the result in plain view. It is also the casino where we played for our own money: one deposit in crypto and two withdrawals, on 28 August and 2 September 2026, without being asked for documents.

None of the thirteen scored casinos could buy itself a lamp: the order comes from the licence register and from the casinos' own written terms, and nothing else moves it.

Who writes here

The site is written by a small desk that reads licence registers and casino terms. We do not sign with our own names: the method is the signature. If a fact has changed since the date of the lookup, the register's or the casino's information applies, and we correct ours. The ideas behind the checks are explained in what a foreign casino is.

Frequently asked questions

Have you played at every casino you score?
No. We played for our own money at Vave and went through sign-up and the cashier at TrustDice. The rest were assessed from the licence register and their own written terms, without playing.
Why do seven casinos share the same score?
Because their terms could not be read live from our server, or because they do not write the three rules down. We confirm the licence and the domain, and the other three checks stay unlit until we can read them. We do not use old copies or other people's reviews to fill the gap.
How often do you update the scores?
When something the score measures changes: a licence that expires or is renewed, new terms, a casino that finally lets us read its terms. The date of the lookup stands on every page.
