Withdrawals from foreign casinos: caps, verification and the trial withdrawal
The money · out of the casino
It is not the deposit that reveals a casino. The deposit always works. It is the withdrawal: when they ask for documents, how much you can take out at most, and what happens to a large win. Those three things are in the terms at the best casinos and nowhere at the rest.
On the board of foreign casinos two of the five checks concern withdrawals: is it in writing when the casino asks for documents, and is there a cap on how much you can take out? Only four of thirteen casinos have both. Here is what the rules say, and how to test them yourself.
The cap: how much you can take out at most
A withdrawal cap is not a bad sign. It is a sign that the casino has thought about what it can pay and written it down. The bad sign is when nothing is written: then the limit can be anything, and it can appear once you have won.
| Casino | Cap in the terms | Clause |
|---|---|---|
| Rakebit | 10,000 EUR per 24 hours | withdrawal terms |
| Wild Fortune | 15,000 EUR a month | 11.8 |
| Bitcasino.io | 1,000,000 USDT processed per week | 6.10 |
| Vave | winnings from 50,000 USDT in instalments over 30 days | 8.8 |
| Bitsler, BetFury | no cap found | – |
Note the difference between a cap per day and one per month. At 10,000 EUR a day a win of 50,000 EUR takes five days. At 15,000 EUR a month it takes four months. Both are honest, but they are not equally good for you.
Verification: when they ask for documents
A foreign casino usually lets you open an account without documents. Verification comes later, and that is fine as long as you know when. We have seen three models:
- At the first withdrawal. Rakebit asks for a selfie and proof of address the first time you take money out. You know in advance and can have it ready.
- Above a threshold. Bitcasino.io can ask for extra verification on withdrawals above 2,500 EUR (clause 6.6). The threshold applies to the single withdrawal.
- At the casino's discretion. Wild Fortune (clause 18.1), Bitsler (clause 4.3) and Vave (clause 8.7, with a 14-day deadline) can ask for documents whenever they choose.
The third model is the most common and the least predictable. It is not a problem in itself: we received two withdrawals from Vave, on 28 August and 2 September 2026, without being asked for anything. But it does mean you should have a passport or driving licence and a recent bill ready in case the question comes.
Wagering before a withdrawal
Some casinos require a deposit to be wagered before it can be withdrawn, even without a bonus. Vave requires three times (clause 8.11): deposit 1,000 kr. and you have to stake 3,000 kr. before the 1,000 kr. can leave. The rule exists to stop people using the casino as a currency exchange, but it also catches you if you change your mind about a deposit.
With a live bonus the bonus wagering applies instead, and that is typically far higher. More on that in bonuses at foreign casinos.
The trial withdrawal in four steps
The best test of a casino costs almost nothing. Do it before you put larger sums in:
- Deposit a little. The smallest the cashier takes, on the cheapest network. Turn the bonus off.
- Play a little. Enough to satisfy any rule about wagering the deposit.
- Ask for a withdrawal. To the same address and network you deposited from. Note the date, the time and the transaction ID.
- Watch what happens. If the money arrives, good. If they ask for documents, find the clause in the terms. If it sits on «pending» with no deadline, you have your answer.
When a withdrawal stalls
If a withdrawal stands still longer than the terms promise, do three things in this order: find the clause that applies, write to customer support with the transaction ID and a reference to that clause, and save every reply as a screenshot. Do not deposit more to «unlock» the withdrawal. That is the most common trap and the most expensive one. More signs of a casino that does not pay are in warning signs.
Back to kroner
A withdrawal in crypto lands in your wallet or in your exchange account. From there you sell to kroner and transfer to the bank. It is the same road as the deposit, only backwards, with the same fees and the same requirement to pick the right network. The route is in from kroner to crypto.
