Check a casino licence in the register: Curaçao and Anjouan step by step
Before you choose · two registers, with screenshots
Checking a licence takes two minutes, and it is the easiest of all the checks. It is also the one almost nobody makes: casino lists write «licensed in Curaçao» without saying where you can see it. Here is where, how, and which facts you have to compare.
All thirteen casinos on the board of foreign casinos have passed this check. That is not a given. It is the first lamp, and without it the rest is beside the point: a casino without a valid licence has nobody to answer to when a withdrawal stalls.
Before you search: find three facts
Open the casino's terms and conditions in a tab and read the first sections. They nearly always carry:
- The company name, for instance «Universe B Games B.V.» or «Nile King Media Ltd».
- The licence number, for instance «OGL/2024/1494/0942» or «ALSI-202602030-FI2».
- Who issued the licence: the Curaçao Gaming Authority or Anjouan.
Write the domain down exactly as the address bar shows it too: betfury.io, not betfury.com.
Curaçao: cert.cga.cw
The Curaçao Gaming Authority runs a certificate portal. The search box takes the domain or the company, not the licence number. Type the domain without https and without www.
A valid certificate carries five facts, and all of them have to match:
- Domain: exactly the one you are playing on.
- Company: the same name as in the casino's terms.
- Company number: the registration number in Curaçao.
- Licence number: OGL/… and the same as in the terms.
- Status: Active.
Here is Cloudbet: Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., licence OGL/2024/328/0599, status Active. Everything matches. The Curaçao register shows no expiry date, so «Active» on the day you look is what counts.
Anjouan: the public register
The Anjouan register is searched by the casino's or the company's name. Unlike Curaçao, it prints a date, «valid until». That date matters: an Anjouan licence can expire while the casino's footer still shows the logo.
Rakebit: Nile King Media Ltd, ALSI-202602030-FI2, valid until 17 February 2027. That is more than 90 days from 19 September 2026, so the lamp is fully lit. Three other casinos on the board hold Anjouan licences with less time left:
| Casino | Valid until | Days from 19.09.2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Fortune | 29.09.2026 | 10 |
| Coins.Game | 27.10.2026 | 38 |
| CoinCasino | 14.11.2026 | 56 |
If you have money sitting at one of them, look the licence up again after the date. If it has not been renewed, take the balance out.
Three mistakes that make a casino look approved
- Right company, wrong domain. A company can hold a licence for one domain and run another. The certificate covers only the domain printed on it. Vave is an example of a detail worth knowing: the certificate names vavegame.com, not vave.com.
- A logo with no link. A licence logo in the footer that does not open the register proves nothing. Nor does one that opens a page on the casino's own domain. It has to open cert.cga.cw or the Anjouan register.
- A stale status. A screenshot of a certificate from last year says nothing about today. Look it up yourself, on the day.
What the licence does not tell you
The register says the casino holds a licence. It does not say when the casino asks for documents, how much you can withdraw, or whether Denmark is excluded. Those three things sit in the terms, and they are what separates a casino with two lamps from one with five.
Where to find them, and what is normal, is in withdrawals from foreign casinos. And if something in the register looks wrong, read the warning signs before you do anything else. Our whole method, with the dates of the lookups, is in how we score.
